youth engagement services, inc.

Youth Engagement Services, Inc was founded in 2018 to provide opportunities for school-aged youth and young adults (10-24) – especially males of color – to develop the interpersonal, academic, technical and life skills needed for success in postsecondary education or the workforce.

Co-founders Michael Walker and Kris Turner, see YES Inc. as a vehicle to take their acquired education, knowledge, skills and experiences to distill and deliver the most critical information to our youth and young adults.
"YES Inc was our DREAM and allowed us to rethink how we as educators, fathers, sons and brothers could impact communities of color in the DMV."

Meet the team

YES Inc staff bring a wealth of experience to our work, but our TEAM is truly that component that distinguishes YES Inc. Our team has a combination of education, professional and volunteer experience, and most critically, a passion for growing and developing youth that is unmatched.

Our team combines our knowledge of positive youth development principles, life experience as parents, educators, and coaches with the data from our partners to deliver programming that equips our youth with the skills for success at home, in school and in the community.
